After moving back to Houston post-college, Seth began attending St. Joseph's Catholic Church. He began to get involved in the community there and was met with the opportunity to join an Evangelical Catholic small group led by Lauren. Lauren had been attending Saint Joseph's for a few years and was looking forward to leading a small group. She was looking for young adults who may be interested in joining and got Seth's name from a mutual friend. Lauren called Seth up and he agreed to join! This provided them the chance to get to know each other on a deeper and personal level, all while building a friendship. As the group was coming to a close, Seth mustered up the courage to ask Lauren on a date. He was hoping she would give this young man a chance with this wonderful lady. At first, they agreed to wait for the small group to end, but the spark was too great to wait! Their first date was Seth's company Christmas party at the Hyatt Mariott downtown, where they instantly hit it off. Soon thereafter, two dates to be exact, Seth asked Lauren to be his girlfriend. And she said....Yes! The next 15 months were filled with lots of cooking, introducing each other to new movies, chick fil a runs, real runs at the park, Sunday Mass, and too many inside jokes. Lauren was absolutely thrilled on March 28th when Seth got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife! Lauren said YES and the two cannot wait to spend forever together. We are so thankful for all of the blessings in our life, most of all-the gift of each other and the gift of marriage.
